Getting fit at the office


One of the most common excuses for not exercising is that you don't have time, and you are always at work. Admin jobs and similar jobs in the office require you to be clever to find a way to exercise when at work. This short and informative little article can quickly help you change things.

If you are fortunate, you may have a gym at your place of work. Make the most of it if this is made available to you. You could possible combine breaks to make up a gym break, or gym during lunch, after work or in the morning before going to your desk. All you need is ten to 15 minutes a day. One day go for a run on the treadmill, then the next day you can go on the rowing machine, so that you keep a variety going. weights and circuits are good for strengthening your muscles and picking up muscle mass.

You can still exercise at the office if you don't have a gym to use. During your lunch break you could sneak in some exercise. You can go outside, or find a quiet spot to do some simple exercises. In ten minutes you can do press-ups, sit-ups, calf raises and squats for a full body workout.

One set of each exercise is all it takes to begin with. Run through them a second time if you have the energy. After doing this for a few weeks you will be strong enough to do more sets and reps. Do these four times per week. Take a day off on wednesday.

These simple exercises will not get you out of breath or sweaty, but they are great for giving you extra strength and toning your muscles. You will start noticing a difference after about 4 to six weeks.
