Is It A Fact That Colonic Is The Most Effective Colon Cleanse Practice?

By Moises Mathews

Colonicm which involves launching water into the colon through the rectum, is also known as colonic irrigation and colonic hydrotherapy. During the procedure, a colon therapist would make the patient lie down, face up, in a table and inserts a speculum into the anus. A plastic pipe would be affixed to it and warm, clean water is little by little pumped into the colon. The process causes peristalsis, or contraction of colon muscles, which results in the fecal matter inside the colon getting forced out and disposed in a closed waste collection system.

Colonics is a helpful procedure used by people to get rid of all waste products from the colon. Some people look upon it as an effortless way of dealing with constipation. In any case, this hydrotherapy invariably helps in improving overall health. However, there are health experts who are cynical about its long-term health advantages. These specialists aver that colonics should be used only occassionaly, and that too before some specific medical procedures.

Colonic treatment has the capacity to remove all fecal waste lying in the colon rapidly. Pile-up of feces can lead to pain, constipation, growth of bacteria and yeast, formation of toxins which can later get ingested into the bloodstream and also reduced absorption of nutrients and water. Removing the fecal matter, thus, can be good in reaching good health.

You should always consult an expert in the field ahead of undergoing colonic. This therapy is not appropriate for people with anemia, abdominal hernia, heart diseases, intestinal tumors etc. Pregnant women also should not undertake this therapy. Those who undergo this treatment may experience fatigue and nausea after the session.

Consuming probiotic foods after a period can be highly beneficial. It is equally important that the patient should refrain from eating anything before a session. The process of colonic is more or less similar to Enema but have some fundamental differences too. The process of colonic is, as such, elaborate in nature, but the positive health effects accrued through it is incomparable. But the bottom line is that it is not suitable for everyone.
