3 Day Weight Loss Programs For Quick Weightloss

3 day weight loss programs are diets that promise that you will lose a little extra weight - usually about five pounds - in just three days.

A few of these kinds of diets also offer detoxification, decreased cholesterol, and improved energy. These diets usually are not clinically verified, however with the limited time frame of the plans, shouldn't result in any harm. You can actually shed some weight with three day diet programs.

Don't expect to have long term weight reduction when using the various three day weight loss programs. These are extremely restricted calorie plans and the extra weight you eliminate is going to be mainly water. They're good when you have an upcoming event such as a big wedding or reunion to go to. However, they're not supposed to be utilized as a permanent lifestyle solution.

One of the more well known 3 day eating plans is the so called Grapefruit diet. The reason why this is known as the Grapefruit Diet is because you eat 1/2 a grapefruit or 4 ounces of grapefruit juice with every meal. If you eat the grapefruit in the natural state and dig in to the rind, you'll get 6 grams of dietary fiber. It is recommended that folks get 25 grams of fiber a day and dieters may choose to increase that to thirty or 35 grams. Eating this much grapefruit might help you on your way. It should be mentioned though that grapefruit juice has no fiber.

You should also realize that grapefruit does not have any specific fat burning or metabolism boosting characteristics. It's just a fruit that is good for you just like pears and oranges.

The three day eating plans work in part, because they're extremely low calorie programs. Breakfast may include an egg, a slice of dry toast, and a banana - a total of only two hundred calories. Lunch might be a cup of cottage cheese and five crackers - once again less than 200 calories. Supper seems a little more substantial with three ounces of lean turkey, 2 cups of veggies, a banana, and 1/2 cup of vanilla ice cream, but you are still eating fewer than 350 calories. Your three servings of grapefruit add an additional 150 calories. That's still only 900 calories for the day!

Obviously you are going to shed weight on nine hundred calories, even if you just sit and watch tv all day long! This is not maintainable over time, but for a fast way for shedding some weight, it may work.

A lifestyle choice it's not, but three day weight loss diets may get you into your "skinny jeans" prior to a big date, let you look like your secondary school prom picture for your 10 year reunion, or fit into your dream wedding gown. Anything further is just too much to expect from 3 day diet programs.
