Trying to lose weight without including some cardiovascular fitness in your plan can be like trying to start a car with no fuel. Even simple low impact exercises, like walking or swimming can boost your weight loss efforts dramatically. Adding to the amount of physical exercise you do daily can help you attain your goals faster. There are also lots of great health benefits associated with boosting your fitness level, even if it's just a bit.

It's common to have a slow metabolism if you don't partake in much cardiovascular exercise. This means their bodies aren't burning fat stores efficiently at all, which makes weight loss quite difficult for them.

Due to this many people will eat less food to try and lose even more weight, but all that'll happen is they slow down their metabolism more. Yet even a slight improvement in cardiovascular fitness can increase the metabolic rate. As the metabolism increases, your body will begin to burn stored fat to be used as energy. Just a little increase in your levels of fitness will help your overall health. You will also sleep much better, meaning you wake up with higher energy levels and you won't feel lethargic.
